Allstate offers car insurance in addition to home, health, life, and other policies. Allstate offers several discounts for customers including Premier Discounts (if you have no moving violations in the last five years), Defensive Driver Class Discount (available for customers over 55 years of age who voluntarily attend a defensive driver course), and multiple policy discount (for customers who have more than one policy such as auto/home insurance with Allstate). Many other discounts are available including good student discounts and safe car discounts.
Since 1952, Allstate has funded over 1,000 local and nationwide programs each year. By the end of 2003, the company plans to have invested $14 million in these three areas:
- Safe & Vital Communities: This includes working with the Red Cross in catastrophe response and mitigation, neighborhood revitalization and youth anti-violence programs.
- Tolerance, Inclusion and Diversity: Teaching youths about tolerance, putting a stop to hate crimes and battling against discrimination.
- Economic Empowerment: Including economic literacy and entrepreneurial business skill development.
