- 2001- Innovating again, Progressive became the first automobile insurance company to allow payments to be made via personal digital assistant devices. (PDA's) Became the first publicly held company to disclose its underwriting results on a month- to-month basis.
- 2000- Progressive became the first company to sell boat, motorcycle and personal watercraft insurance over the Internet. At the same time, Progressive also became the pioneer in allowing online quotes for recreational vehicles.
